3D printed no prep Veneer
No prep 3D printed veneer. This patient has a lingoverted lateral from rebound after finishing clear aligners. This makes the tooth seem darker than it really is. We could recapitulate clear aligner therapy, whiten, or correct with a veneer. Here we did a no prep 3D printed veneer using Sprintray ONX Tough 2.0. This was a live class case in our 3D printing residency.
Designed using exocad. Candy coated for finishing then bonded using Ivoclar Variolink Veneer And Adhese Universal.

How to rebase a denture in exocad in under 5 minutes
Переглядів 620День тому
How to digitally rebase a denture in under 5 minutes in exocad. This is an incredible technique. If you did a exocad denture for a patient and a few years later the denture become loose, just make a new scan, bring up the old design and almost instantly refit it to the new impression without needing to redesign anything.

Free Denture design software tutorial

Dentru free denture design software. Hey guys, based on the top two poll results for tutorials you wanted, this was ranked #2. Here I am using it as a renewed copy denture , by far the most common way I make denture records. This is a feature where it will pour up a relined denture and allow a brand new tooth setup! This is great when a person has an old worn out denture and you wash it or reli...
How to make 3D printed veneers ultra thin.
Переглядів 1,1 тис.21 день тому
This is the technique that I used to get my 3-D printed veneers to be whisper, thin, and even sometimes going thinner than a human hair and areas, and this allows us for me to do a lot more additive in the ears than I ever thought was possible before even more than using feldspathic on a platinum foil. Komet 9486 is the key.
Gingival sculpting instruments
Переглядів 59321 день тому
I discovered a set of excellent instruments for gingival characterization. On Amazon for 13 dollars, these double sided sculpting instruments are very nice. One side is a smooth metal ball, perfect for root sculpting, and on the other is a soft silicone tip great for sulcus shaping.

Death of the Dual Scan Technique?
Переглядів 1,4 тис.Місяць тому
Death to the dual scan technique? The dual scan technique refers to scanning an appliance, usually a denture that contains radiographic markers using a CBCT with the appliance on a radiolucent foam pad. Then place same appliance with same markers in the mouth and scan again and use the radiographic markers to pin the two separate scans together. The problem is the markers are small, have scanne...

Hardest No Prep Veneer case of my career!!
Переглядів 2,4 тис.Місяць тому
. My firt MIDAS veneer case. This was the hardest No prep 3D printed veneer case of my career. This case is not really a no prep case. This is comprehensive ortho and min prep veneer case. Which is the treatment I presented to the patient. The patient refused ortho and didn’t want any tooth reduction whatsoever. my typical response to all these demands is “ yea sure, I want to ride to work on a...

How do you overcome the double imaging that happens because of the mobile tissue in the vistibule area ?
Great work ! If you allow me to ask ...where to mark the margin in exocad ? What is the thickness of the margin ?? Thank you for sharing knowledge
You don’t design no prep veneers with a margin. Use mockup module. Margin is 200 microns thick
👌🏻🔥👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Me just going through a whole year making a complete denture by hand in dental school, wondering why digital approaches weren’t taught and practiced in lab classes, lol. Anyways, wonderful contents as always, thank you, sir!
Quite useful. What are the respective indications for the various designs?
That's a good work.. i have two questions please: 1-What type of scanners are you using? 2-Do you prefer make degital dentures than make an traditional impression? and who it the best for more retention an stability?
Primescan. I like digital much better and retention of digital dentures is largely based on knowledge of design
lol I knew you’d make a video on this ASAP!
So much confusion out there. You figures this out on your own but most would not be able to without a tutorial 🎉
@@wallyrenne always appreciate what you do for the community!
Is it not too much work at the chair when you have no border molding in digital scan?
love it <3
Great video Wally! I can’t wait to finish dental school so I can finally get my hands on exocad!
Simply awesome! More of this content please!!! Lol I think I watched this one now for the hmmm... 40st time lol...
How about the parameters?
Default parameters
Hi Wally.. Thanks so much for all your educational videos, I'm looking to start printing full dentures initially and will probably go SprintRay... what would you suggest is the best design software, guess they all have strengths and weaknesses?
Definitely exocad 100%
gracias ---¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
De nada!
What Software are you using for designing temps? May i know the Parameters.
Exocad 120 micron gap, .2 from margin
Hmmmm 🤔 The jaw scans load just fine but none of the teeth load. Didn't think I missed anything
That’s strange
What specific Flexcera resin do you use? Is it smile plus?
I have moved in to ONX Tough for these. But Flexcera smile and Ultra plus are the same thing different name and cost
Thank you for your response back. What material do you recommend to bond the Onx lingual bar to the teeth?
@@tarahzimmerman3335 just etch the enamel, adhesive, cure. Then sandblast the bar, silane add flowable composite to the bar , seat and cure
I had two observations after candycoating with keystone soft. I did two identical splints and only candy coated the intaglio surface of one of them. I made the layer as thin as I possibly could, and the splint that was not candy coated on the intaglio fit better. Also after the occlusion of the splint was adjusted with marking paper, I polished it with fine pumice and it took the candy coat layer right off. Any thoughts on this? Thanks
Yea if Candy Coating the intaglio as well as the cameo surface your design has to have the appropriate spacer. What setting did you use when you did your design ? My guess is you did not increase the offset? 100 micron spacer is needed. Lastly, of course when you grind on the surface you destroy it. You are not removing the Candy coating, you are rather roughing the surface. The same exact thing happens when grind on a hand polished guard with pumice.
You are correct. I did not adjust the offset. I was interested in seeing how much the candy coat layer actually influenced the fit. I will account for this in the future. It looked great out of the cure box. I was sad, however, that I could not get the polished ice look back after using a pumice wheel. Thanks for all your knowledge and input.
Hey Wally, how are you finding the durability on these printed dentures to be now? I started printing them 4 years ago and got out of it except for temporaries because of how fragile the available base materials were.
Luxitone and Apex denture base are probably the only good pink base materials on the market. They need to be manufactured to exacting instructions for use set forth by the manufacturer and generally need to be 2.5 mm thick.
how can I add other brands of implants to the software? like mis for example.
As a prosthetist it always gives me goosebumps seeing results as these
Anyway to do a flipper with this software?
Muchas gracias Wally. (Thanx a lot)
How can I do digital wax up for free??, thank you for the information 🙏🏼
Thanks for the video, I have a question if you were to mill this out t of a puck in what category would you put it in so that the milling software would recognize it?
What is the slice thickness set at on the printer when printing your thin veneers?...25?
What is your slice thickness set at on your printer when printing that thin? ....25?
Still 100 microns for Z. It’s the XY resolution that matters (pixel dot size)
Thanks Wally.
Can you do a stackable guide in this software
No
Thanks alot for the sharing, is it free?
Yea free just find the download at truabutment website all the way at bottom TRUsuite
Is there follow up for case planning and staff training for students who take the week long programs? Implementation of some of these protocols seem intimidating for a novice user. Thank you for the great content
Thanks for sharing !! Great stuff. I really need to come take your courses.

how can I get this software?

Do u have a workshop with this software?
We currently have some hands on with this at MOD West in California
Subscribed! Amazing work, neatly explained and executed. Thank you!
how do you cement it
Well, we have a detailed and long tutorial on bonding 3-D printed restorations. You should check out on the channel.
Your videos are so helpful.thank you
I'm so glad!
🤩🤩🤩
Where can I find this guide now?
decent printer, mediocre customer service. So glad they finally just decommissioned the stupid card reader
Yea that thing was stupid.
Can you do a video for applying composite gingiva to mach the reality colours and morphology?
I think I have a few of those already
If is printed what type of resin did you use?
The On X is a permanent restorative resin ?
Yet in Europe we only have Bego/Detax resin with 115 Mpa toughness. Rodin or Onx tough are unavailable
Thanks! Whats the name of the stains? :)
Empress direct colors
How did you bring the CBCT dicom in here (before printing) without fiducials?
Take the CBCT with the MOD record system in place. It’s printed out of ONX though and will be used to pin
I still struggle with these after One year of graduation, it looks easy but unfortunately when it comes to doing it myself on a real patient with all the saliva, blood, soft tissues and limited visibility it's really challenging to do everything perfectly, i wish one day i can reach that level of professionalism
The key is doing a 300 prepa on a typodnt. Getting good doesn’t happen between 9-5pm. Your first hundred you give yourself 2hrs each tooth. Your next 50 1.5 hr Your next 50 1hr Your next 50 30 minutes Your next 50 10 minutes

Hi, great work! What is your protocol for bonding on intaglio surface of Onx Tough 2.0? Do you use Monobond etch & prime?
We have a tutorial on UA-cam on bonding 3D prints

Which materials do you use for printing the surgical guide?
Sprintray surgical guide 3
Thanks for sharing a great case. What camera set up do you use especially for posterior occlusion photos?
